The Wedding Portrait

A wedding is a precious time in a young woman's life; it is the beginning of a new life with the person that she loves and cherishes. Marriage is the ultimate challenge that a couple can face together; it takes courage, strength, and perseverance to work through the ups and downs of married life.

I admire the courage and perseverance that it took for my parents to stay married for 31 years and ongoing because that is not an easy feat in our day and age. 

I want to honour my mother because of how much she has played a part in my life and helped me to grow as a woman. The emotion that I want to portray is one of reflection; reflecting on the past and how far she has come. 

When it comes down to it, love is love. Love of a wife, love of a mother. Love brought two people together, and love created three new people. Love is remembering the good times, as well as the bad times.
