You can be a victim of cancer, or a survivor of cancer. It's a mindset.

When I think of a strong woman, I think of my grandma: a woman who continuously gives to others despite things in her life not going as planned.

Rather it be through an encouraging word, hug, or knitting finger puppets for the kids at the hospital- she continues to push through and brighten the day of those in her life.

This woman is as tough as nails and as stubborn as a donkey, but her strong will and loving heart draw people to her.

My grandmother disagreed when I told her that she is a strong woman: she told me that she doesn't feel very strong right now- so I promised that I would be her strength.

Life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it.

She may have lost her hair and her strength may be diminished right now, but I know that she will never lose her heart or faith in what she believes in.
